Wikipedia Dance Project - Toronto

Dance+Words’ Wikipedia Dance Project addresses the limited profile of Canadian dance entries on this international encyclopedia platform by deploying the dance community itself to write new entries and augment existing stubs with new information.

The Toronto session of the Wikipedia Dance Project will take place on Sunday June 2, 11am-3pm, in the Resource Centre at Canada’s National Ballet School, 400 Jarvis Street.

Organized by Dance+Words (writer/filmmakers Kathleen Smith and Philip Szporer) and facilitated by Zeesy Powers, Canadian ambassador for the Art + Feminism Wikipedia Project, this event consists of a tutorial on editing Wikipedia for Canadian dance content, followed by a supported edit-a-thon. This is a free event and light refreshments will be provided. But be sure to register in order to reserve a spot.
