A contemporary ballet ensemble of ten dancers, under the leadership of Artistic Director Wen Wei Wang, Ballet Edmonton creates and commissions original work each season from a variety of national and international choreographic voices for main stage performance series and touring opportunities.

Job Description:

In collaboration with the Executive Director and the Artistic Director, the board of directors of Ballet Edmonton Society is pleased to request applications for the position of Managing Director. The board of directors is seeking an experienced, engaging leader with demonstrated skills in financial and human resource management, fund development, fundraising, and experience in the non-profit sector.

Requirement:

The successful person is action-oriented with a collaborative spirit and a keen sense of what it takes to manage multiple priorities. A quick thinker with a proven ability to manage long range and short-term strategic goals, this position is best suited to someone who is self-motivated, enthusiastic, and has no qualms or shyness around individual donor and sponsor development in the private and corporate sectors.

Qualification:

Post secondary education with business degree, arts administration, and experience in fund development.

Remuneration:

Starting at $70,000
