Advocacy Letter Writing Café - Thursday, November 4th 2025, 4pm

Members of Parliament will soon be voting on the next federal budget. It's time to make our voices heard and come together to write to our MPs!

A collective letter writing session will give you prompts to inspire your writing!

Let's all participate in the collective call for the Canadian government to permanently allocate at least 1% of its overall spending to arts, culture, and heritage every year.

To achieve this for the 2025-26 fiscal year, the Government should increase its allocations by $270 million, specifically:

- An increase of $140 million to the Canada Council for the Arts (core, touring and individual artists funding);
- An increase of $130 million to the Department of Canadian Heritage.
