Sampradaya Dance Creations excitedly anticipates the official Opening and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony set to take place on June 20, 2012 to reveal the newly expanded and renovated dance centre with special guests, funders and an extended network of supporters. The dance centre is a well-appointed, multipurpose space that is equipped with state of the art professional lighting and sound and retractable seating for 100 to accommodate a variety of events. This momentous occasion for Sampradaya has become a reality through generous support of the Ontario Trillium Foundation and The Department of Canadian Heritage. It is the Company’s vision that the dance centre evolves into community-hub for South Asian arts and culture locally and nationally. Future plans already include a performance series dedicated to showcasing emerging local artists set to launch in the Fall of 2012.
