Alberta Dance Theatre is a 26 year old modern creative dance company with a unique mandate. Through a collaborative process that engages the dancer in the creation of the show, dancers take responsibility for creating movement sequences under the direction of adult professional choreographers. The dancers ’own dances’ are incorporated into the productions, allowing the dancers to grow as artists and deepen their understanding of dance as an art form and the creative process.
